Why do you start with the process instead of the technology?
Because the right tool depends on how your business actually works. Before building anything, we look at who does what, where your data comes from and where manual work slows the team down. This scoping step often leads to a simpler and more valuable solution than the one originally planned.
Should my business use Excel, Power BI, Power Apps or custom software?
It depends on the process. Excel suits calculations, models and controls used by a small team. Power BI suits live dashboards that combine several data sources. Power Apps and Power Automate suit multi-user apps, approvals and mobile data capture. Custom software fits when these platforms reach their limits. Which technologies do you work with?
Our core stack is Microsoft 365: Excel and VBA, Power BI and DAX, Power Apps, Power Automate and Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents). For custom software we also work with SQL, Python, .NET and JavaScript, choosing the stack that fits your environment and growth plans.

Yes, and we encourage it. Our specialists offer a free consultation before any commitment, so you can discuss your process and goals and get an honest view of the best approach.
How does your pricing work?
There are no fixed fees. You can hire us on demand for a single project or choose one of three hourly packages with volume-adjusted rates. Every project starts with a clear scope and a transparent quote.
What payment terms do you offer?
New clients pay a deposit of at least 30% to start a project. Established clients can choose flexible terms, including 20% upfront or instalments over up to 12 months.
Do you offer a guarantee on your work?
Yes. Every project includes a free review period of up to 120 days, depending on the project and set out in its scope, plus a lifetime guarantee against technical issues in the solution we deliver.
Do you use in-house developers or outsource the work?
All work is done by Sapphire’s in-house consultants and developers. We do not outsource to freelancers or third-party agencies, which is how we keep quality consistent on every project.
How do you handle data security and confidentiality?
Security is part of every stage, from contract and NDA signing through design and delivery to maintenance. We follow industry-standard practices for client data and can align with your own governance and compliance requirements. See our GDPR commitment.
What happens after the project is delivered?
Delivery is not the end of the relationship. Each project includes a post-delivery review period, and we offer ongoing maintenance, improvement and support plans so your tools keep evolving with your business.
What are your support hours?
Standard support runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Clients with ongoing contracts receive extended support, typically 12 or more hours a day.
Do you also sell ready-made Excel templates?
Yes. Alongside bespoke projects, our Store offers ready-to-use Excel templates for project control, sales and commissions, HR, quotes, events, stock and financial control. The formulas and automations are already built in, so you only enter your data, and each template includes a user guide.
Which versions of Excel do the templates work with?
The templates are built for desktop Microsoft Excel on Windows and Mac, including Microsoft 365. Templates with automations (.xlsm files) need desktop Excel, because macros do not run in Excel for the web, Google Sheets or the mobile apps. Templates without macros (.xlsx) also open in those tools.
How do I buy and receive a template?
Choose a template in the Store, add it to your basket and pay by credit card, debit card or PayPal. Once payment is confirmed, you receive a download link by email, which also stays available in the Orders section of your account.
Can I get a refund on a template?
Yes. Templates come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not happy with your purchase, contact us within 30 days of buying to request a refund.
Can I share a template with my colleagues?
Each template licence covers one user, so anyone else who uses it needs their own licence. If your team needs something shared or tailored, we can build a custom Excel solution instead.
